Training during the COVID-19 pandemic
This pandemic has been long and difficult for many and we are very happy to be able to continue training in person. In order to ensure your safety and abide by the current regulations, we must adhere to the following precautions. Detailed information to particular points can be found below.
- FFP2 masks (or equivalent) to be worn on arrival.
They may be removed during training. - Adults must provide proof of full vaccination, recent recovery or a test (see below).
- Children must be tested on the day of training.
If not monitored by the school, a note must be brought in confirming that it has been done by an adult. - Number of children limited to 20 per class.
- We recommend all students test regularly.
- Current contact information must be kept for each student.
- Changing room access is limited; please come dressed and ready to train.
- Our training centres are well-ventilated and windows and doors will remain open where possible.
These rules will apply for the foreseeable future. Please see the Heidelberg website for specific, day-to-day information and the Baden-Württemberg website for more general information.
If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch.
Contact information
In order to abide by current contact-tracing regulations, we must keep up-to-date information for each student present, namely:
- First and last name
- Address
- Telephone number, if available
We will therefore ask you to fill in a simple registration form upon arrival. This data will only be kept by the instructor in a safe and secure location. Under the current Data Protection Act (2018), you have the right to access and correct your data at any time.
Changes to training times
Any changes will be sent out via email. Please check your email the day before each session that you attend and we will do our utmost to make sure that any changes are communicated as soon as possible. If there is no change we will not contact you.
Requirement to train: '3G'-rule (one of...)
In order to take part in classes in person, you must provide one of the following:
Proof of vaccination
A person currently counts as fully vaccinated 14 days after their second vaccination. Please bring your "Impfpass" with you.Proof of recovery
If you have had COVID-19 in the last 6 months and have proof from a doctor, you may also bring this with you.A negative test
If you don't have proof of the other two, a negative test must be shown (e.g. a rapid antigen test). This must be no older than 24 hours and can be either from a registered test-station or conducted under supervision of the instructor.
Even when not required, we recommend taking a test on the day so that we can all train safely.
Please see the Heidelberg website for more details in the original announcement ( only available in German): Warnstufe: Verschärfung der Corona-Maßnahmen wegen hoher Intensivbettenauslastung ab 3. November.
Changing rooms
Although allowed to open, the changing rooms at the Hitness Center can only be used by one person at a time. Therefore, they will remain closed in the evenings but may be opened upon request. As such, we ask that you arrive at class ready to train.
